Overall it really is amazing to look at, Face animations are still little creepy. cause same drops I got due pulling data from Storage on ps4 7200 rpm in certain I was using are still there on External T5 SSD I using and that more like Stuttering thing. That patch is NOW LIVE, letting PS5 players enjoy a targeted 60 FPS as a free update If you already have a copy, this will be automatically updated, or for any first timers to Horizon, you can find it via the. talking FPS drop not associated with pulling data from Storage. To that end, we know our community has been asking for an Enhanced Performance Patch for Horizon Zero Dawn played on PlayStation 5. I played it in fidelity mode on PS4 Pro and I never thought it was slowing down outside of expected situations like giant alpha explosions right next to the camera. The fps mode was pointless afaik anyway so its for the best. Wish they gave us 60fps mode, dont get why there drops here there still it should virtual stable 30 across the board on ps5. kyliethicc said: Looks like itll be 4K checkerboard at 60 fps on PS5 now. So the question is Framerate Mode lock at 1080p or is it doing some sorta dynamic res? I read people said Res mode is way to play on ps5 but FPS mode look to have better detail and distance then RES mode but virtually Identical Frame rate performance and resolution atlest that I can see from playing the game. the biggest advantages is the addition of 60 FPS support for PS4 on PS5. Horizon Zero Dawn, a console-exclusive title from Sony, will be released on PC. with drop here and there still, But in FPS mode the draw distance and textures seem much better at a distance, up close and scene where there dialog and all that all like identical. Tested Xcom 2, Age of Empires IV, Horizon Zero Dawn, and several other games. Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End was originally revealed as a 60 fps release. I have also test Res Mode and FPS mode, I honestly cant tell difference in normal game play between the two resolution wise,Framerate wise cause they both seem to doing the same FPS. and no gamemode is on and I can see difference with it on and off it not as obvious as it is 60fps as it is but gamemode is on (tv) i envy the people that cant hear those tone anymore or arnt drive insane by it.īoth "seem" locked to 30 but i dont think both keep 30 fps for some reason, Some time moving the camera around seem to very "laggy" and when 30 fps drops bellow 30 fps I difiently see it effect on moving the camera. I kinda sad I returned my ps4 pro cause enhancements to the games was worth price, but sadly the coil noise it made under "pro" game was not some game it was so bad being 8feet away and headphone on couldnot hide that noise which seem to be wide spread issue with the pro's from what i been seeing on net and fact i went threw 4 replacements before i gave up. imo the face animation leave lot to desire there just not as creeping bad as some games and most are bad anyway ( i looking at you until dawn) facial animations in that game where down right creepy and imo ruined graphics and look, It almost like the dont really motion capture the facial animation at all HZD facial animations are way better in comparisons, lip sync aside. like Skyrim i restarted this game mutliple time. Difference is on the PS5 in these rare extreme cases it's at least eventually loaded and cached for a bit, whereas on the PC with GPU's with less than 8GB, the textures stay awful if you try to go beyond 1080p.The game is amazing and looks just as amazing, even on "ps4" is it not 60 FPS sure but the frame pacing is so good it forgive able, Horizon Zero Dawn which i got with all the addons, will turn out to be another Skyrim game to, I sill spend 200+ hours messing around in the the game and probably and admiring it and never finish the game. (Interestingly this is kind of what happens on my PC with my 1660 when I try and play in high resolutions, such as 1800p or 4k - entire scene geometry pops in. If you notice egregious pop-in maybe try giving your PS5 a reboot if you've been playing for several hours. While there's still slow texture loading on characters and some objects in Meridian, rebooting seemed to fix the issue of whole geometry sections appearing, could be a mem leak, who knows. At least the 60fps is rock-solid.ĮDIT: Rebooted my PS5 and can't reproduce the above. Meridian is by far the worst location for it (so far) but yeah - I seem to notice it more than before on the Pro, at least to my recollection. This is also installed on the internal SSD. I just got to Meridian and there's some massive pop-in happening, there are parts where entire scene geometry can appear out of the blue, and most characters in the city are blurry and have delayed textures loading in as you're jogging past. They also released a 60fps patch for Horizon Zero Dawn on PS5 today, letting players experience Aloy’s original adventure and the Frozen Wilds expansion at a stunning frame rate. Click to shrink. No, I believe you're right.
